Who we're not
You won't find our names blazing in chrome
up high on an office building somewhere in the fancy part of town. You'll look for us in vain among the top 100 Scandinavian advertising agencies. In fact, we're not even listed.
What this means is we don't have a big machinery to run, or a lot of mouths to feed. So we're free to handpick the best people in the business for every single job. This approach has enabled us to work with people whose other clients include Wallpaper, ELLE, Vogue and Levi's.
We know about target groups and demo-graphics, but we don't really care about them. We care about people. To us, advertising is about telling people what our clients stand for, in a way that's clear, honest -- and still able to take you by surprise.
In short, we're not your average ad agency.
What we don't
We don't work with companies or products we don't care about. We won't do advertising we don't like. And we won't recommend anything that's not good for your business.
Unlike most other ad agencies, we don't depend on media placement to meet our budgets. So we won't tell you to run a TV campaign when a viral will do.
At HOPPER we depend only on the strength of our ideas. But just because we work like we don't need the money, it doesn't mean we're cheap.

Tierra (spec)
This campaign grew from our love of the great outdoors. So rather than just advertise nylon jackets, we wanted to speak about what it is that makes people leave the office and hope for a snowstorm.
Answer: Civilization is unnatural.
By taking this approach we achieve two things: We stay true to Tierra's core consumers of outdoor enthusiasts, and we speak in a languge that allows city slickers to get fired up about the brand as well.
HAVE A LOOK
I like fancy clothes. Especially if they keep me from getting frostbite.
I had a friend who went to the city once. Didn't make it back alive.
I've been to some bad places. Once I spent four years at an insurance company.
I don't go to the gym much. Frankly, once I get home I'm just too tired.
SVENSSON
Launch SVENSSON as the magazine for city people.
To rise to this challenge we created a campaign using only alternative media. Simply put, we took SVENSSON where no other magazine had gone before, literally making it part of Malmö city.
The door hanger in the ladies room at one of Malmö's trendiest clubs, we're told, garnered extra attention...
(A big thank you to all the brave shop owners who let us invade their premises.)
A suburb is an attempt to get away from the city without leaving it.
City people make most of the fuss about the charms of country life.
Country people try to kill time. City people try to buy it.
In the city nudity means something. In the wild it just exists.
The city is not a concrete jungle. It's a human zoo.
Wilderness Outcome
When everybody else sells 'the thrill of the moment' with colorful pictures of the countryside, we choose black-and-white photos and a philosophical state of mind. After all, adventure is not about cheap thrills. It's about what really matters: Living life to the fullest.
Kristian Krebs has photographed supermodels in Milan, and his work has been featured in magazines such as Rodeo and Vogue. This was his first time photographing kayaks.
Funny how, years from now, you'll still feel those drops of water against your face.
Close your eyes 20 years from now, and this is what you'll remember.
Soaking wet, with blisters on your hands and a sun-burned face. Yeah, it was worth every minute.
Come to think of it, the world was never as calm as on that day.
The Dee Diner
Although still very much in the early stages, we're pleased to present yet another cool client: The Dee Diner.
We look forward to creating a campaign that captures the heart and soul of this rockin' 1950's-style eatery. Yeah, baby!
